See how much of each AI account you have used

Free and Pro

Thrum can show how much of each AI tool’s usage limit you have used, how much is left and when it resets. It is off until you turn it on.

To see it, run thrum team in a terminal. With account usage on, a section named --- Accounts --- appears under the team list.

--- Accounts ---
unknown account (claude) used 40%, remaining 60%, resets 2026-10-31T18:00:00Z, last read 2026-10-31T13:00:00Z
hosts: my-laptop (claude)

Each line is one AI tool on one machine. It says unknown account because Thrum doesn’t look up who you are signed in as. [stale] means the last check failed and the numbers are the last good ones. [>=90%] or [>=95%] means you are close to the limit.

Ask your coordinator, the agent you talk to, which starts the other agents, hands out work and reports back to you: Turn on account usage for this machine.

The daemon is Thrum’s background process on your machine. Your coordinator installs a small helper tool, quota-axi, and restarts the Thrum daemon. It covers Claude Code, Codex, Cursor and GitHub Copilot, for the tools you run on this machine. Muse, Antigravity and opencode are added only if you ask.

Every 15 minutes, quota-axi asks each AI tool’s provider how much of your plan is used, signed in as you are in that tool. quota-axi is a free tool from another developer, released under the open-source MIT licence. Thrum keeps the percentages, the reset times, the names of the usage windows, a short status and your machine’s name. It never keeps your sign-in. It shares these with the machines you have paired, as it does messages. If you sync through Git, they also go to your Git remote, as your messages do.

Usage not enabled on daemon means that machine isn’t set up yet. Ask your coordinator to turn it on there. For any other message, ask your coordinator: Why is account usage unavailable?

Ask your coordinator: Turn off account usage. The last numbers stay.
